Introducing Christian Woodall!

Efficient, ever-helpful and always upbeat, Christian brings a unique positive and youthful energy to the Griffin team. His enthusiasm for his job is palpable and anyone who has the pleasure of working with Christian is guaranteed to walk away with a smile. We sat down for a little Q&A with Christian to get to know him a little better.

Between your Communications lectures at university, what does your role entail at Griffin?

While I like to take on as many roles as I can to help the team, I do have two key priorities. The first is to make sure our investors are looked after and well informed when it comes to their investments here at Griffin. Whether this be through the production of this regular monthly newsletter, managing our project-specific investor updates or answering any individual questions they may have, I want to make sure that our investors feel involved and valued across the lifespan of their investment.

Secondly, I take an active role in assisting our Project Manager Brett Garrett, particularly when he can’t be in the office while out on site. From the planning stages to construction and even after practical completion of a project there are a multitude of tasks to be completed, and I happily take on any responsibilities which are required of me.

What do like most about your role?

Coming from a sales and communications background, I feel the role suits my strengths perfectly but what I like most is working with the Griffin team. It feels more like a family than simply a group of employees, which really makes it a joy to come into work every day.

What 3 items at work could you not live without?

  1. Headphones. You have to have a bit of music in the background sometimes, helps keep me motivated.
  2. Chocolate. Self-explanatory, chocolate is the best.
  3. Caffeine. You can’t go wrong with a hot mocha or a cold can of Coke when 4pm rolls around and you’re struggling to keep your eyes open.

The most invaluable lesson you’ve learned so far in life is ….

Never give up, on yourself or the people you care about.

Sometimes things don’t always go your way but it doesn’t matter how many hits you’ve taken along the road, always keep working hard and if you have a dream never give up on it. And if you know someone who’s struggling, give them a hand and help them get back on their feet.

Tell us something not many people know about you?

People can never pick that I’m a huge Heavy Metal fan! It’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea but it keeps my energy level high!
