TWO TOWERS WORTH $1.1 BILLION APPROVED FOR ELIZABETH QUAY

October 29, 2020

Perth’s city skyline is set to grow with the long-awaited plans for two towers at Elizabeth Quay worth $1.1 billion approved by the State Government. One tower will be 21 levels and the neighbouring tower an impressive 58 levels.

Executive Vice President and Co-Head Carl Schibrowski from Brookfield Properties commented, “The design delivers on the WA Government’s vision for the precinct as a world-class destination to visit, live and work with high-quality urban amenities and open space”. It is a “transformational project … that will connect the Perth CBD with the Swan riverfront.”

Over 2500 people will be involved in the construction of the $367 million towers which will boast more than 50,000 sqm of prime office space, approximately 1,800 sqm of retail and dining space, an 84-room hotel and 237 luxury apartments. The completed developments will attract more workers, residents and visitors to the waterfront.

“We do want to get people back into the CBD to send that message more broadly around South East Asia that Perth and Western Australia is very much, not just leading the economic response post COVID, but very much open for business.” said Treasurer Ben Wyatt.
