July 10, 2020
Scarborough is set to receive even more investment with a planned $120 million-dollar redevelopment of Scarborough’s White Sands Tavern opposite Scarborough’s spectacular beachfront. The soon to be submitted proposal will see a 23-storey residential building with 199 apartments, a modern Woolworths supermarket as the anchor of the development with a BWS, a 100-place childcare centre, a 900sqm gym, a 1700sqm café and dining precinct and more.
“Our vision is to create a contemporary space for local residents to live, shop, eat and relax – as well as a key destination for employment, economic and community development.” Said Woolworths regional development manager Alicia Jones.
The project could start early next year which will be perfect for future residents of our development The Residence in Scarborough who will benefit from these multiple additions less than 1km away in an highly sought-after area.
