Bold 10 year vision for Perth

June 12, 2019

An exciting new vision has been unveiled this week by The City of Perth Council who endorsed the release of the draft City Planning Strategy 2019 – 2029 for community feedback.

The City Planning Strategy will require working closely with the State Government to implement initiatives including east to west cycle ways, more ferry stations along the Swan River, a primary and secondary school and the creation of 6 neighbourhood hubs connected by an underground rail system.

With a strong focus on increasing the population of the city, the 2019 – 2029 plan aims to continue to strength WA’s capital as an economic, social, cultural and civic centre.

A range of initiatives across housing, employment, business activity, transport and public open spaces will drive the development of six neighbourhood identified as Central Perth, Northbridge, East Perth, West Perth, Nedlands-Crawley and Claisebrook.
